March 2-3 | Women’s Performance Camp: Session II
With help from expert female coaches and collaborative learning with fellow students, skiers will gain the knowledge and confidence to rip black-diamond steeps, hit the moguls, and break through boundaries. This camp is designed for women who ski at an intermediate level or above.
Women’s Performance Camps are presented with help from K2 and Luna Bar.
March 4-5 | First Class Beginner’s Weekend
For just $375, participants who enroll in this learn-to-ski program will pick up a new sport – and a FREE pair of HEAD skis, boots, and bindings! For ages 13 and up. To reserve a spot in the program, call 800-229-LOON.
March 13 | Last Call
Last Call, the East Coast’s largest and longest-running snowboarding event, is a homecoming of sorts for New England’s top pro and amateur riders. A $4,000 cash purse is up for grabs, with a challenging setup of next-level jumps, rails, and transitions.
March 19 | Cardboard Box Race
Here at Loon, spring doesn’t truly arrive until kids start gliding downhill in cardboard boxes they’ve transformed into helicopters, moose, and pirate ships.
April 1 | ‘80s Day
Celebrate the return of spring by reliving the raddest decade of the 20th century. ’80s Day is a complete throwback party with a costume contest, morning exercise class, on-snow DJ, outdoor Bud Light bar, and so much more. It’s all capped off with a legendary slopeside après-ski performance from ‘80s cover band Fast Times.
April 9 | Slushpool Party & Wet Tug-o-War
A spring tradition here at Loon, the Slushpool Party is a magical event in which skiers and riders try to skim across a pond of ice-cold water. Spoiler alert: most fail spectacularly. Another competition, the Wet Tug-o-War, is a back-and-forth battle where teams of eight try to pull their opponents into the icy water. Champions will walk home with new gear from SPY Optics – and dry clothes.
April 16 | Easter
Guests will load the gondola before dawn to enjoy a non-denominational Easter sunrise service at the summit with Loon Mountain Ministry. Refreshments at the Summit Cafe and first tracks will follow the service, along with a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Easter egg hunt. Activities are free to all participants.
