Ingles Performance announces roster for 2017-18 snocross season
PHOENIX, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2017) – As the summer of 2017 slowly fades into memory and thoughts turn to the coming winter, one of the northeast’s most accomplished snowmobile snocross teams is already gearing up for the 2017-18 season.
Multi-time champions Ingles Performance will again field riders on both the national and regional circuits. Leading the squad into 2018 is Vermont native Hunter Patenaude, who will compete full-time on the International Series of Champions’ (ISOC) AMSOIL Championship Snocross (ACS) series in the Pro Lite class.
Hunter won the ISOC Sport National title last winter and says he’s ready for the challenge.
“I know it will be a competitive class with a lot of good riders,” Patenaude said. “But I also know the new Ski-doo will be fast, and I’m already training hard with fellow Ski-doo racer Lincoln Lemieux to prepare. I’m in great shape physically, and feel I’ll be ready when we all get to Duluth.”
Also returning to the Ingles team is Hunter’s older brother, Leo, who will race in the Pro class on the East Coast Snocross (ECS) Conx2share series along with select ISOC races. Joining Leo on the ECS circuit for Ingles Performance is veteran Chris Ingles, who will race in the Pro Lite class.
New to the team this coming winter is 19-year-old Connecticut native Marco Travaglini. The talented athlete from Norfolk was impressive the ECS Pro Lite class last winter on a different brand of sled, but now has his sights set on riding the hot new Ski-doo MXZx 600RS E-TEC in 2018.
“I’m really excited about riding the new Ski-doo for Ingles Performance this winter,” Travaglini said. “I think once I get used to the sled, I’ll be able to run up front. With this team, I can learn so much from their experience. This is a great opportunity for me, and I plan to give it my best.”
Also on the team for 2017-18 is Alissah Ashline, of Hartland, Vermont. Ashline will compete in the ECS Pro Women class, while her younger brother, Adam, will race out of the same trailer in the ECS Junior classes.
Emmett Scott Dinse will also have support from Inlges Performance in 2018 as he competes in the ECS Sport division. Dinse made notable improvements during his rookie effort last winter and will continue to hone his skills with more valuable seat time in his sophomore season.
Team co-owner Robin Ingles feels confident about her full team roster for 2017-18.
“I think we have some great riders gearing up for another assault on ISOC and ECS this coming winter,” Ingles said. “We’re starting a new era after Danny (Poirier) retired, and we plan to continue his legacy of winning races and titles for Ski-doo. I’m excited to see a new season arrive.”
The 2017-18 AMSOIL Championship Snocross series gets under way on Nov. 24-26 at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota. The Duluth Snocross National can be viewed on ISOC’s Live Stream, with a link easily found at www.snocross.com.
