Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, a family vacation, or just looking for an excuse to spend more time in the mountains, now is the perfect time to start filling in your calendar. From parades and fireworks to chocolate festivals, sailboats, art fairs, trail running, and mountain adventures, here’s a look at some of the classic events returning to Waterville Valley this year, plus a few extras to spice things up.
Summer Events Sneak Peek include the 4th of July Parade, Carnival, & Fireworks on July 4, the Artisan Fair on July 11, the Chocolate Fest on July 25, the Ugotta Regatta on August 1, the Denali Hiking Challenge on August 8 & 9, Neon Night on August 15, Black Bear Trail Races on August 29, and the Family Chalk Art Festival on September 5.

Trail season is here, and whether you’re hitting your favorite local routes or exploring new terrain, the Adventure Center has everything you need to get rolling. The Snow’s Mountain Chairlift is officially spinning on Saturdays & Sundays, and daily bike rentals and unlimited access to Snow’s Mountain Chairlift are available with the Summer Adventure Pass. Snow’s Chairlift opens daily starting July 27.
A major milestone has been reached in the proposed Gondola & Green Peak Expansion Project. The U.S. Forest Service has published the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which outlines the proposed project, environmental analysis, alternatives considered, and supporting technical studies. Waterville Valley Resort will host a public information meeting on Friday, June 26 at 7:00 PM at the Waterville Valley Conference Center to provide context and answer questions.
