Plattekill Mountain Announces“Return To The Snow” Initiative
Family-owned mountain establishes new model to address industry-wide skier lapse trend


Roxbury, N.Y. Plattekill Mountain is launching its new trademark Return To The SnowTM initiative, addressing a growing trend of skier lapse occurring at mountains throughout North America. 

The Return To The SnowTM initiative offers discounts on packages, and a unique offer of private family lessons to reengage lapsed skiers, and welcome younger generations to the sport at a realistic price point. Their Return To The SnowPackageTM includes lift tickets, rentals and a one- or two-hour private lesson for returning skiers/riders to bring back their skills starting at $165. In addition, Plattekill is introducing a family private lesson with exclusive, private instruction for families for two hours starting at $325. The mountain also offers a Value Club Card at $79 that includes one free anytime adult lift ticket and saves skiers any day they visit the mountain ¾ a great option for those time-starved with flex schedules to choose their day on the slopes.

Plattekill to Host 10th Annual Family Fall Festival

On Saturday October 12, 2019, Plattekill Mountain in Roxbury, NY will host its10th Annual “Plattepalooza” Family Fall festival. This annual event, which is held every year on the Saturday of the Columbus Weekend, has become the largest event of the mountain’s non-winter season.

Kirchmeyer, Kierstead split Pro lite finals

        SANDY CREEK, New York (Mar. 4, 2019) — Massachusetts native Mike Pilotte continued his 2019 hot streak over the weekend, sweeping the Pro finals as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Rounds 8 and 9 at the Oswego County Fairgrounds. 

        Rising stars Jesse Kirchmeyer (Team Southside/Polaris, Saturday) and Tucker Kierstead (D&D Racing/Arctic Cat, Sunday) split the Pro Lite finals in two of the most competitive races seen thus far in 2019. Kirchmeyer also finished second to Pilotte in Saturday’s Pro final ahead of Adam Levi.

        CLARKSBURG, Mass. (Feb. 2, 2019) — One of upstate New York’s most renowned and recognized winter events is bringing the high-flying action of snocross back to town. 

        Officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) are gearing up to be part of the famed Lake George Winter Carnival, as they host Rounds 5 and 6 of the 2019 schedule on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9-10, at the Warren County Fairgrounds, in Warrensburg, New York.

CLYMER, N.Y. (Mar. 26, 2018) – Veteran snowmobile racers Mike Pilotte and Hunter Patenaude both earned Final round wins in the Pro class over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Rounds 10 and 11 of its 13-round 2018 campaign at Peek’n Peak Resort.

Pilotte (Team Southside/Polaris), of Fall River, Mass., grabbed the Holeshot in Saturday’s grueling 12-lap final on the huge, challenging mountain track and led every lap. Leo Patenaude (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) barely held off his brother and teammate Hunter for second in a valiant last-lap effort. With Marco Travaglini a solid fourth, it was only Pilotte who spoiled the party for Ski-doo. (more…)
