Central New Hampshire Snowmobile Club’s website covers Campton, Thornton and Ellsworth. Use its local resources when planning a ride in this part of central New Hampshire.
Join and arrange volunteer work
The club’s September 8, 2026 notice announces membership for the 2026/27 season and links its online joining resource. It also asks people helping with fall trail work to have current membership for insurance. Confirm the applicable terms and work-party arrangements through the club. The September 10 meeting in that notice has passed; its Thornton venue is not a recurring meeting guarantee or a parking authorization.
Check the restricted parking diagrams
The club’s parking page identifies Gearty Way and the Route 49 kiosk near Exit 28, with marked areas that visitors must follow. It specifically excludes the Campton police lot and asks visitors to keep access clear. Read the diagrams before travelling rather than treating nearby municipal land as general trailer parking.
The same page describes limited parking at Owl’s Nest in Thornton, conditional on suitable Corridor 11 conditions. Its yellow-marked vehicle spaces and red-circled area for people arriving by sled serve different purposes. Do not use other spaces when the designated area is full. The page has no visible update date, so confirm current availability and permission with the club and property operator.
Use dated trail reports
The trail-report archive includes a March 11, 2026 closure and earlier winter reports. They describe that season, rather than present trail status. The warming-hut page locates a hut on Trail 155 near the 3582 kiosk; confirm access and availability before depending on it. Old groomer, volunteer and mileage figures on the Northeast Snow page have not been adopted as current totals.
