Cochnewagan Trailblazers is a snowmobile and ATV club based in Monmouth, Maine. Its public club page provides local notices and a way to ask about membership, trail work and the appropriate map for your visit.

Choose the right membership

The club’s ATV Maine listing links to a Cochnewagan Trailblazers membership application (PDF). The form distinguishes full, alumni, associate and business memberships. Full membership includes choices for MSA, ATV Maine, both associations or the club alone; an ATV association choice should not be assumed to include snowmobile association membership.

The form describes an October 1–September 30 membership year but does not identify a particular season. Confirm that it is the application and fee schedule the club is accepting before completing it or sending payment. Ask which category applies to you and what association membership it includes.

Keep snowmobile and ATV access separate

The club’s public description and ATV Maine listing describe its Monmouth trails as snowmobile-only. The Maine Snowmobile Association’s September 2021 profile explains that the club travelled elsewhere for ATV group rides. Being a combined club does not make every local snowmobile trail an ATV route.

Monmouth’s January 2026 comprehensive-plan document (PDF) uses broader activity wording on page 125. Check the specific trail with the club and landowner rather than treating that general description as permission for ATV travel. The plan also explains that snowmobile access across private property depends on annual permission; a line on a map does not establish current access.

Confirm the map and meeting location

Ask the club for the applicable map edition, current closures and any approved trailer parking before travelling. The older Monmouth map formerly linked here has a 2002 DeLorme basemap credit, which does not identify the club’s map edition. It should not be used to establish today’s routes, open crossings or permission to cross ice.

The association listing and application describe second-Tuesday meetings at the Monmouth fire station, while individual club notices specify the venue for each gathering. Check the latest notice for the date, time and street address; a meeting venue is not an established trailer-parking arrangement.
