Smoki Haulers Snowmobile Club is based in Oakfield, Maine. The club’s older public page explicitly says it is no longer active and points visitors to the replacement club page for newer notices.
Use the correct joining and meeting notices
The replacement page discusses mailed membership applications and dated clubhouse meetings. Ask the club for the applicable season’s application, terms and next meeting notice. Its October 5 meeting announcement differs from the recurring schedule in the Katahdin Area club directory; use a fresh club notice before making a trip.
Start with the regional map listing
The Maine Snowmobile Association’s Katahdin Area map page, dated January 28, 2025, includes Smoki Haulers among its participating trail systems. Request the applicable current map and local reroutes from the club. That page date does not verify the map’s edition or every route’s current permission.
Confirm local arrangements directly
The archived Oakfield trail image is dated June 16, 2005. Its clubhouse, route and service markers are background, not current directions. Regional directories also disagree on the clubhouse street number, so confirm the meeting or trailer-parking location and availability before travelling. The association’s Southern Aroostook report page has a January 23, 2026 date and says “No Report” for Oakfield; it does not establish an open or closed trail system.
