Killington announced an additional $15 million in capital improvements on October 15, bringing its stated three-year investment under independent ownership to more than $80 million. The resort also outlined an intention to invest about $200 million over the next decade.

The update includes $1.3 million spent on maintenance across seven lifts at Killington and Pico during the summer. A new K-1 Gondola control system is planned for summer 2027, when the resort expects the gondola to be closed for most of that summer.

Beginner-area work includes a second covered carpet at Pico’s Bonanza learning area and a cover for Killington’s Learn To Carpet. Pico’s replacement Outpost Quad is planned for winter 2027/28.

Project dates are plans from the October announcement. The resort now anticipates the new Needle’s Eye Lodge in winter 2028/29 following permitting delays. Check official updates as those projects progress.
