Sugarloaf Mountain is a popular ski resort and outdoor recreation destination located in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, in the United States. With a summit elevation of 4,237 feet (1,291 meters), Sugarloaf is the second-highest peak in Maine, after Mount Katahdin. The mountain is part of the Longfellow Mountains subrange in the larger Appalachian Mountain Range.
Sugarloaf Ski Resort, situated on the slopes of the mountain, is one of the largest ski areas in the Eastern United States. The resort boasts more than 1,200 acres of skiable terrain, with a total of 162 trails and glades. The resort caters to skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, offering a variety of trails ranging from beginner to expert. It also has a network of snowmaking equipment and grooming machines to ensure optimal skiing conditions throughout the winter season.
