Follow the club’s trail-work updates
The October report, by Joe Broderick, describes storm cleanup and equipment work during the 2025–26 season. It directs readers to the club’s Facebook updates for volunteer requests and says monthly meetings begin in October. That account describes the past winter; it is not a trail-opening report or a date for your next meeting.
Check the map before a trip
An earlier club profile links an older BMSD map resource. Its current edition and routes have not been established. Request the applicable map, current changes and an authorized unloading location. Older warming-hut and all-season activity descriptions need their own access confirmation; snowmobile membership does not grant every activity permission.
For Reney Memorial Forest, the Forest Society property page provides a separate land-manager map marked “Drawn By: JAH 2010.” It distinguishes hiking and snowmobile trails within that property, rather than covering the club’s whole network. The page also retains a forestry-closure notice referring to December 2024. Ask the land manager about current restrictions, winter access and any newer map before visiting; the elapsed notice does not confirm reopening.
