Sugarloaf's operations team provided an update on the mountain's progress, focusing heavily on lift maintenance and infrastructure improvements. They detailed ongoing work to ensure the Super Quad is running smoothly, including maintenance on scenic lifts and the completion of necessary preventative maintenance across the mountain.
Significant changes are planned for the learning area, involving the construction of new conveyors to move terrain and repurpose existing infrastructure. This work aims to free up space and create new opportunities for the mountain, including converting existing conveyor areas into a tube park.
The team is also focused on trail development, working to regrade blue trails and reestablish glades across the property. Furthermore, major projects are underway, such as the Timberline lift replacement, which involves careful planning for new routes and storm water management, alongside exciting plans for expansion, including an igloo development at Bullwinkles.
