All members of the Uncanoonuc Mountaineers automatically become members of the NHSA. Membership to NHSA helps to keep snowmobilers abreast of events happening in NH, as well as throughout the many snowmobiling regions of the country. In addition, it keeps snowmobilers informed of new laws, regulations and current legislation being proposed. Our Club participates in NHSA sponsored events, as well as fundraising activities around the area. Because we are a non-profit organization, we try to raise moneys in order to defer some of the costs that we encounter and also to contribute to the Easter Seals Foundation. Each year we take part in the NH Grass Drags, an NHSA sponsored event in Fremont, NH. We participate in community events whenever possible and sponsor a local Flea Market where you can come “shop” for equipment, parts, accessories, etc. The club awards an annual scholarship to a club member’s qualifying graduating senior. This scholarship is partially funded by our 120 Club Raffle. “Tickets” are sold and ½ the money raised is then given back via drawings to the lucky ticket holders over a 20-week period. We have an Adult Weekend trip up north in January, a family outing in March, a Pot Luck Supper in April, the end of the year banquet in May and a summer family outing in July. Please see the attached calendar for specifics or visit our web site

The Club has a “points” system in order to encourage participation. Points are assigned to practically every event (including attending monthly meetings!) and are converted into dollars. While you don’t get cash back, these points can help reduce your cost of the Adult Weekend, the May Banquet or membership dues.

Each month a newsletter called The Echo is sent to all members. This newsletter is a recap of the monthly meeting, an update on events, and any other information that might be important to a member who was unable to attend the meeting. We even have a “For Sale” section.
